Sijabulile is a collection of heartfelt thoughts from Mpho Ludidi's childhood and hometown, Matatiele, South Africa, where he grew up with his grandfather, Captain Ludidi. This is where Mpho first experienced a simple life observed in the people of the land who grew their crops and had livestock for their living.

Mpho wrote the song, Sijabulile, while living in Pretoria, now known as Tshwane, South Africa, yet while writing, he had the sense of being on a hill in Matatiele on a bright sunny day.
